Kinect Energy’s Advisory Services team assists customers in analyzing renewable energy projects such as solar, wind or biomass. The team also provides economic and interconnection review for conventional self-generation and microgrid alternatives as well as combined heat and power (CHP). Matt’s team also considers opportunities for other sustainability initiatives including energy efficiency and carbon mitigation measures as well as electric, thermal and kinetic storage opportunities. Kinect Energy’s proprietary software permits real-time assessment of electric power market pricing and dynamics, helping inform decisions regarding whether to utilize generated power onsite, utilize onsite storage or to sell kWh back to the electric grid. Prior to re-joining Kinect Energy (formerly U.S. Energy), Matt was an Associate Director in Navigant Consulting’s Energy Practice managing energy efficiency evaluations, M&V (Measurement and Verification) analyses, benchmarking studies, and related projects. Prior to joining Navigant, he was a Director of Account management at US Energy Services, Inc., where he managed a team that assisted clients with plant site development, energy procurement, price risk management and energy efficiency and sustainability services for natural gas, electricity and other fuel sources. He also has extensive experience in industrial energy studies and re-commissioning analyses, and power industry forecasting software management and development.
