Chad serves as a financial analyst and ERCOT Expert for Grid Economics, where his clients have included many of the world’s most successful solar development companies. Chad has built financial models for more than a billion dollars’ worth of PV projects, is an Air Force trained GIS specialist, is Co-Founder and CFO of Smart Power Maps, a geospatial cash flow modeling software as a service company, and he has been Chairman since 2013 of the ERCOT Emerging Technologies Working Group, where he has authored several ERCOT Nodal Protocol Revision Requests, each of which he has marshaled through to passage by the ERCOT Board of Directors. Prior employers include the Energy Resources Division of the General Land Office, a vertically-integrated grid-scale battery storage company, and at the Austin Technology Incubator. Mr. Blevins served as the President of the Energy Resources Group at the University of Texas while he was a graduate student in the Energy & Earth Resources masters program. Chad is an Air Force Honors Graduate and Distinguished Graduate, and is a Summa Cum Laude alumnus of Saint Edward’s University.
